Keynotes, scientific presentations, debates, and networking are some of the activities prepared for the new edition of the Scientific Days which, for the first time, will be held face to face in different cities of Chile, from December November 04 to 07.
The second edition of our Journées Scientifiques will be held, for the first time, in an in-person format in various cities in Chile in partnership with Chilean universities in three Chilean regions, from December 4th to 7th, 2023.
As during the First Journées Scientifiques Inria Chile held in May 2022, the program includes keynote lectures, scientific presentations, debates, and networking activities, and will bring together French and Chilean researchers, students, as well as representatives from institutions and companies.
Artificial intelligence, mathematical modeling, simulation and optimization, networks, and Internet of Things, as well as priority topics in the application of digital sciences and technologies such as climate change and biodiversity, health, astronomy, and agroecology, will be featured in the program, among many others.
The Scientific Conference will take place:_

on 04 December at the San Joaquín campus of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile;

on 5 December at the Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences of the University of Chile;

on 6 December at the headquarters of the Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María in Valparaíso; and
-
on December 7th at the Vice-Rectory of Research and Development of the University of Concepción, in the capital of the Biobío region.

We want to continue to strengthen Franco-Chilean scientific cooperation in digital sciences because we know that there are common objectives and great possibilities for synergy from the institutional, scientific, and also from innovation. We are very happy to be able to hold these second Journées Scientifiques Inria Chile in person and in collaboration, both with Inria teams in France and with teams from Chilean universities, in the Chilean capital and in different regions of the country. The Journées Scientifiques Inria Chile are a unique opportunity to bring together our community and our ecosystems, both French and Chilean.

Inria Network for French and Chilean Researchers
Launched during the first edition of the Journées Scientifiques Inria Chile, the Franco-Chilean Network of Inria researchers provides a new framework for Inria Chile's role in fostering collaborations between Inria project teams and the Chilean scientific community. The objective of the Network is to create and foster a community that brings together researchers from Inria and Chile who share common interests. The Network also identifies opportunities to jointly develop new research and innovation projects.

Journées Scientifiques Inria Chile
In May 2022, the first edition of the Journées Scientifiques was held, with the aim of analyzing and publicizing advances in science and digital technology, in a Franco-Chilean meeting organized by Inria Chile.
During four days, more than 170 people, authorities, researchers, representatives of different institutions and students from France and Chile met in this online event. Keynotes; scientific, innovation and research policy sessions, and a round table on open science were on the 2022 program.
