On March 15, Inria Chile received at its offices the director for the Americas and the Caribbean of the Ministère de l'Europe et des Affaires Étrangères, Michèle Ramis, who was accompanied by the Americas redacteur of the same entity, Charlie Dubois; the French ambassador in Chile, Pascal Teixeira da Silva, and the Counsellor of Cooperation and Cultural Action of the French Embassy in Chile and director of the French Institute of Chile, Christian Estrade.

The delegation had the opportunity to learn first-hand about the impact of the work and research projects promoted by Inria in Chile on topics related to digital sciences and technologies, which are applied to different economic sectors, such as astronomy or renewable energies. In addition, possible ways to strengthen Franco-Chilean relations in these matters were discussed.

To close the visit, they were given the book "Inria, a decade in Chile", which commemorates Inria's first 10 years in the country and which includes the main milestones and projects since its arrival in 2012.
