- A few days before the opening of the call for the new version, the startups of the contest, EVoting and Photio, started to expand their projects in one of the largest markets in Europe.
Trophée Startup 2022

The scientific and technological startups, EVoting and Photio, traveled to France to participate in the acceleration program of the Trophée Startup competition. The initiative is organized by the Embassy of France in Chile, Business France, and Inria Chile, with the collaboration of the National Agency for Research and Development (ANID), the Embassy of Chile in France, Corfo, Start-Up Chile, and ProChile, and with the support of Air France, BNP Paribas, Engie, and Total Eren.

The winning startups of the competition are provided with a training and acceleration package in Chile and France, aimed at creating the conditions for their internationalization in the European country. In Chile, they have already been part of a pre-internationalization program, with deep tech training sessions through the Inria Academy program and a training on the French ecosystem and its opportunities, provided by Business France.

The program aims to accelerate their businesses and establish international contacts in one of the main R&D destinations globally. During their stay, the national entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to get to know the French entrepreneurship ecosystem and meet with various business leaders and scientists.

For us the initiative has been a tremendous opportunity, from the possibility of being in Europe to participate in a globally renowned accelerator. We value the instance because it is not easy to leave Chile with a new technology and even less with an accompaniment like this. We are looking forward to this process

More about Photio

Photio is a nanotechnological additive that, upon contact with light, promotes the degradation of greenhouse gasses and local pollutants. It can be applied to paints, asphalt, concrete, fabrics, plastics, synthetic leather and practically any material.

This technology is capable of degrading more than 10 different pollutant gasses, transforming any surface or material into an air purifier, without modifying its appearance. One square meter covered with Photio has the same decontaminating potential as two mature trees.

Furthermore, the startups will be part of a tailor-made program designed by Paris&Co, the French capital's innovation agency that incubates more than 500 French and foreign startups every year. They will also participate, from June 14 to 17th, in Vivatech 2023, Europe's largest innovation event, recognized for its contribution to business transformation, the growth of startups and innovation for the common good, where they will be welcomed at the Inria stand.

Verbatim

We are very happy because France is a very attractive market for EVoting due to its maturity in the regulation and adoption of electronic voting, with a high valuation of privacy, which allows us to offer a differentiating product. It seems relevant to us that these types of instances are being promoted for national ventures
