Inria Academy Chile successfully concluded its series of Master Classes, which took place from September 29th to the end of November of 2023. Over 200 individuals, including professionals, researchers, entrepreneurs, and students, actively participated in these online master sessions, reinforcing Inria Chile's commitment to talent development in digital sciences and technologies.
In this new edition of the program, Inria Chile successfully presented a series of online courses in collaboration with Inria Academy, the specialized continuing education program in digital technologies by Inria. These classes consisted of 11 sessions, with a primary focus on advanced technology topics, emphasizing the use and promotion of open-source software developed by Inria.
This collaborative effort has aimed, from its inception, to enrich the educational landscape and promote access to specialized knowledge in the field of digital technologies.
The mission of this initiative
Inria Academy aims to address two crucial aspects: the training of advanced professionals in deeptech, leveraging the rich set of open-source software developed by Inria, and the transfer of knowledge to business leaders, helping them understand the challenges and risks associated with modern digital technologies.
This academic development offering, for both Chile and the rest of Latin America, targets companies of all sizes, from large corporations to SMEs and startups.
Prominent speakers and content
In this version, the Master Classes explored principles, challenges, risks, and opportunities in a wide range of subjects, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, semantic web, metaverse, virtual reality, optimization, multiphysics simulation, environmental impact of digital technologies, pricing, and modeling.
Each session featured experts in the field, who are also directors or researchers of Inria teams-projects, such as Arturo Amor, Fabien Gandon, Anatole Lécuyer, Frédéric Alexandre, Yves Bertot, Ayse N. Aslan, Paul Baksic, Benjamin Ninassi, and Benoît Rottembourg.
