Master Class in French, with simultaneous translation into Spanish
SOFA is an open-source framework for interactive physics simulation, with emphasis on biomechanical and robotic simulations. SOFA benefits from a large international community made up of research centers and companies.
Being developed for more than 17 years, the SOFA core has a LGPL license (permissive and non-contaminating) fostering the development of prototypes and products under any commercial license.
What will I discover in this master class?
In this introductory Master Class to SOFA, you'll learn about numerical simulation, SOFA and its community, and its various fields of application.
Paul Baksic
Paul Baksic is a research engineer on the MIMESIS project team at Inria and a software development engineer at the Simulation Open Framework Architecture (SOFA) consortium.
Passionate about science and engineering, Paul's primary interests lie in robotics and simulation for medical applications. After completing his master's and engineering diploma in medical robotics at the Télécom Physique Strasbourg School and the University of Strasbourg in 2018, he earned his Ph.D. in medical robotics in 2022 (University of Strasbourg). Since then, he has worked as a research engineer at the University of
