Abstract
In this talk, we will explore advances in large language models (LLMs), focusing on their current capabilities, applications, and impact in various industries. We will also discuss possible future directions of LLM development, including ethical considerations, research challenges, and emerging trends.
Héctor Allende Cid
Professor Héctor Allende Cid is a Civil Computer Engineer. Master and PhD in Computer Engineering from Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María. He joined as Professor of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso in 2015. From 2017 to 2021 he was the President of the Chilean Association of Pattern Recognition. Since August 2023, he works as Senior Researcher at the Fraunhofer IAIS research center (Germany), in the group of “Natural Language Understanding” in the thematic of “Large Language Models”.
