Call for researchers: Opening of the call for Associate Teams 2025

The Associate Teams are part of the Franco-Chilean Network of Inria researchers and constitute an essential element of Inria's international policy, through which we support bilateral scientific collaboration between France and its strategic partners abroad, among which is Chile.

That is why the invitation is open to all French and Chilean scientists and researchers to apply to this program until October 17. In turn, all Chilean academic partners can be part of the Inria Chile Associate Teams 2025 initiative.

What is the relevance of the program?

Since Inria began its activities in Chile in 2012, 33 Franco-Chilean research projects in digital sciences and technologies have been funded through this program. Currently, nine Associate Teams are active, in which researchers from Inria centers in France collaborate with Chilean institutions such as the Universidad de Chile, the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, the Universidad de Valparaíso, the Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María, the Universidad Austral de Chile, the Universidad de Santiago, the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez and the Universidad de O’Higgins.

The purpose of Inria in Chile is to consolidate and strengthen scientific collaborations in digital sciences and technologies between Inria projects and teams and research groups of Chilean universities, promoting greater bilateral cooperation between researchers from France and Chile.

What are its benefits?

• Allocation of funds of up to 12,000€ annually for the first two years of the project and up to 10,000€ in the third. These amounts are subject to contingencies and may be revised.

• Financing of exchanges between France and Chile –trips and short and medium-term stays– of the members of the Associate Team (researchers, postdocs, doctoral students, engineers, interns, etc.).

• Workshops and joint working meetings (expenses related to travel and stays).
