Coordinators
This team guided by Romain Yvinec from the MUSCA team of Saclay-Île-de-France, France, and Mauricio Sepulveda from University of Concepción, Chile, work on the analysis of mathematical models dedicated to the multicell dynamic. The team is build by Inria Chile, University of Bío Bío and Université de Picardie Jules Verne researchers.
It is based on the formalism of structured population dynamics, which is formulated as conservation laws of partial differential equations (PDEs). To do this, it studies two main classes of PDE models of structured populations: phase separation models (of the Lifshitz-Slyozov type) and moving/free boundary problems, to investigate -in turn- cellular biological questions (mainly of adipocytes), and morphogenesis processes (tissue homeostasis of intestinal crypts and development of ovarian follicles).
In both cases, the theoretical and numerical analysis of the models will be carried out, specific numerical schemes and appropriate strategies will be designed for inverse problems, synergistically.
