SusAIn is a multidisciplinary group of researchers from France, Chile and Brazil, that addresses the challenge of reducing the energy consumption of Artificial Intelligence algorithms, implemented in the context of high performance computing.

The French coordinator is Romain Rouvoy, from the SPIRALS team of Inria centre at the University of Lille; and in Chile, Felipe Tobar, from the Center for Mathematical Modeling (CMM) of the University of Chile. The team is also made up of researchers from Inria Chile and from Laboratório Nacional de Computação Científica of Brazil.

This task force combines unique scientific expertise on this critical environmental issue, with the intention of leveraging existing hardware and software infrastructures to provide new tools and recommendations for the scientific community on the proper design and implementation of artificial intelligence algorithms.
