Inria Chile Talks - “Inteligencia Artificial para la agricultura”

 

In this talk, new technologies that integrate artificial intelligence with digital agriculture are presented. A summary is being made of various systems that have currently been implemented to support agricultural companies to improve their productive yields and be able to monitor large agricultural crops for better decision making. Among the techniques reviewed are yield estimation models, computer vision for phenology monitoring, satellite imagery and various industrial applications with real use cases.

Francisco Altimiras

Dr. Francisco Altimiras got his Ph.D. in Complex Systems Engineering from Adolfo Ibañez University, in 2018. Following this, Dr. Altimiras earned a Master 's degree in Computer Science from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, in 2022. Today he works as R&D Manager at Inria Chile. Throughout his career, Dr. Altimiras has been involved in technology development as a researcher, data scientist, and entrepreneur. Dr. Altimiras research focuses on computer vision, machine learning, the internet of Things (IoT), and digital agriculture.
